Update

Still working on grades folks. Things WILL be current tonight, but may be closer to 10 or 11 pm. Check power-school in the morning for a realistic picture.

I have entered your  the unit test for social studies. A few of you have yet to complete part two of the test
(the short essay). A few of you did complete part two but did not put your name on it. If your grade is lower than you expected, you may be in one of these two categories. We need to work this out by Wednesday at the latest.

Sunday, October 23

Well,
First quarter is almost a wrap. Why is it that days sometimes seems sooooo long
but months just pass us by?

Here are a few items for your attention and consideration.

-Check power-school tomorrow (Monday) night for an updated idea of what your first quarter grade might look like. ALL missing assignments may be completed for partial credit BEFORE Friday, October 28.

After then, the way is shut and we enter the yet uncharted territory of the second quarter of 7th grade.

-Your only homework between now and the end of first quarter (again, this Friday, October 28) is to work toward your AR goal. You can view your goal by logging into AR and clicking on the link to "Goals." Your homework for next quarter is to not leave this for the last minute.

-We will take our first language arts benchmark on Wednesday (period 2) or Thursday (periods 4 and 6). This IS an important test which we will spend class time reviewing for. It is NOT a huge part of your first quarter grade the way your math benchmark will be. I will look at this test to determine what you have learned/ perfected versus what we still need to review.

If you don't want to spend precious, evanescent moments of your early adolescence reviewing the parts of a sentence, proper punctuation, the six point of plot, and other things that I know you know I know you know (maybe one too many there), be sure to study your notebook and bring your A-game.

That's enough for now. More to come soon......

Hi everyone...

A quick reminder to keep up with your AR reading. You have 24 days left to meet your first quarter goals.

Also, if you don't bring your Aztec Journal tomorrow, Mr. McIntyre won't have to shave his head.

September 29 (progress reports and goals)

Hello everyone,
A few of important notes.....

1. We will be revisiting our 1st quarter goals (which we wrote on the 1st day of school) in class. My goal for the remainder of the quarter is to update our website at least twice a week. Please help me remember.

2. Progress reports will be sent home next week. Can you believe we're half-way through 1st quarter already?! This is a mid-quarter check in. There is still plenty of time to improve your grades.

3. I've graded your All-School Write pretest and will post the scores on powerschool. This is a preassessment and does not affect your grade in my class.

4. We will begin persuasive essays next week.
